Erin Zindle & The Ragbirds – New Name, New Songs, New Vision

Dear Friends.
Big announcement: We are officially changing our name to “Erin Zindle & The Ragbirds”.
Life has taken a lot of wild turns lately and Erin is stepping up into a new role – taking the reins, claiming her name, and singing new songs with an incredible team of support behind her.
TJ, Loren, and Shannon – the three guys who make up The Ragbirds are the most amazing trio of humans you could ever want to share a stage with. Can’t sing their praises highly enough.
In an industry that has always been dominated by men it is surprisingly rare to find those who with their whole hearts are willing to stand behind a woman and let her shine in the fullness of her dream. This might not seem like a big change to some, but it is a monumental paradigm shift for Erin and the band.
The “Grand Opening” show (the first that will be officially billed with our new name) will be in our hometown at The Ark in Ann Arbor. We’ve decided to release our new single “Curious” in conjunction with this celebration show. The single will be the first to represent the new body of work we will be recording this Fall for a 2020 release.

New Sound – New Experiences – NPR Tiny Desk Submission!!

Cheers to going after new things, especially when it comes to new music! Our new song, ‘Curious’, is now featured on our ‘NPR Tiny Desk Contest’ submission.
We’re very proud of this song; all the work that went in; and all of our friends, family, and supporters who have been giving us so much love. We have more to announce in the coming months; I hope that you enjoy our submission.
Our sound has evolved. Lyrically, the integrity and care remains, but a depth in four-part harmony has emerged and we cannot wait to share it with you.

Patreon offers an alternative to the hype game – a subscription-based model where the value is in the content. The value is determined by you, and the creators of the content are rewarded for creating engaging content. Their reward is a sustainable living wage – so they can continue creating more content. Your reward as a patron is direct access to that content as well as a direct connection to the artist themselves.
The Ragbirds are launching a Patreon campaign to help cover the ongoing costs of keeping a band on the road, recording new music, filming and releasing videos and other creative endeavors. This is a way for fans to directly support the band, for as little as the cost of a cup of coffee per month. Patrons will get exclusive content, including live streams, demo tracks, lyrics and song stories, behind the scenes stories and photos, and they will be the first to get new music as it is released. They will also have direct access to the band’s singer-songwriter Erin Zindle who will be sharing regular posts and engaging with the community of The Ragbirds’ supporters through the Patreon blog feed.

We’re so excited to be releasing our very first music video, for the track “Breakdown” from The Threshold & The Hearth. You can view the exclusive premiere, courtesy of AXS.com, online.
“Breakdown” and it was filmed by Charlie Steen at The Rumpus Room in Chelsea, Michigan. Produced and directed by Erin herself, the video features many of our beautiful friends. It tells the story of surrender and transformation – as each character experiences it in their own way, letting go of their anxieties and allowing themselves ultimately to dance to the music with wild abandon.
This video was such a labor of love and would not have been possible without our incredible community of friends and fans. It was such a warm and wonderful experience!

Good Friends, Family, and Supporters:
We’ve been hard at work for the last year writing, planning, and perfecting the details of our new album – The Threshold & The Hearth. The album is essentially finished, and we couldn’t be happier with the results, but we have made a decision to postpone the album release until 2016.
While our initial plan had been to release this fall, we’re now in discussions about a potential distribution deal. If this deal comes together, it will give us the opportunity to get the album heard by so many more people, sold through so many more outlets, and to give it the attention we feel it deserves. As hard it is to wait, we’re asking our supporters to be patient as we see this through – to give this album the best possible release and set it up for success. While details are still coming together, we know that it will be released sometime in early 2016.
